Christo commenced his professional career over 35 years ago with Ernst & Young firstly in the auditing field and later in performance improvement consulting in Australia and in Eastern Europe. He went on to become a Founding Partner of EDN, a global consulting company involved in organisation development focussed on safety performance and risk management to clients in the resource industry such as Shell, ExxonMobil, BP, Woodside and Santos. He has addressed numerous conferences on topics relating to safety and leadership and in 2007 was a member of the Australian Government delegation to the APEC Ministers in Mining Summit.

He holds a Masters in Marketing, Bachelor of Commerce, Diploma of OHS and is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and New Zealand and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Phil Berriman

Dip Eng (Elec and Mech)

Non-Executive Director

Phil started in industry as an electrician while concurrently completing a Diploma in Electrical Engineering. A Diploma in Mechanical Engineering followed. Phil’s 32 years as the CEO of the PJB Group manufacturing underground coal mining vehicles and Ex devices started in 1977 and has provided exposure to the coal mining industry in Australia and Internationally.

Phil became involved in the writing of national and international standard in 1982 and continues to contribute to many groups working in the fields of electrical and mechanical explosion-protection.

Rod Henderson

Managing Director and CEO - Ampcontrol Group

Prior to Ampcontrol, Rod spent seven years with Alcan Aluminium (Hydro) at Kurri Kurri, first undertaking an Electrical Apprenticeship and then being selected to undertake an Engineering Traineeship. When the opportunity arose to take on a position in Ampcontrol, Rod began his 20 year career with the business in 1991 by managing the development and release of new electronics products. Rod went on to hold the role of Group Manager for Electronics and Chief Operating Officer of Australian Operations. Rod was appointed as Ampcontrol’s Chief Executive Officer in June 2014 and Managing Director in December 2015.
